This year, we’re so excited to visit the Betsey Mills Club in Marietta, OH to conduct our Community Service Project.
The Betsey Mills was founded in 1911 as The Girls’ Monday Club. The Monday Club was the result of a sewing class started in 1898 in Marietta by Mrs. Betsey Mills and other community minded women, and served the needs of girls and women in the Marietta area.
Today, the Club serves all residents of Washington County through programs and services like safe and secure housing for women, reading clubs for seniors, swimming lessons for the community, and daycare and summer camp programs for children.
As part of our service project this year, we would like to present the Betsey Mills Club with donations from the volunteers and ambassadors of HOBY Ohio South. Below is a list of items they have requested for use with their children’s service programs. If you are able to contribute any of these items, please bring them with you to the seminar in June.
